Explanatory Report I. The European Convention on the Adoption of
Children (revised) was prepared, within the framework of the Council
of Europe, by a Working Party of the Committee of Experts on Family
Law (hereinafter the “CJ FA”), under the authority of the European
Committee on Legal Cooperation (hereinafter the “CDCJ”). Following
its examination and adoption by the Committee of Ministers of the
Council of Europe during its 118th Session (7 May 2008), the
Convention will be opened for signature on [november 2008]. (omissis)
